#TIL: What is the cost of commuting in Indian Cities?

As we enter a new decade (as per the Gregorian calendar), we find ourselves looking back at possible lessons from the last decade. As a developing nation, India is home to highly price-sensitive commuters. In other words, even penny increase in commuting prices reflect in commuter choices.

This piece explores the cost of commute in Top 10 Most Expensive Indian cities, based on Numbeo’s information in five simple graphs.

The most expensive cities, excluding housing rent include Gurgaon, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Delhi, Noida, Pune, Bangalore, Thane, Indore and Goa. These cities are closely followed by Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Coimbatore.
